The ultra-awesome and very cute Justine and Donald filled a rainy day with colour and laughter on 20 September. The lush, freshly rained-on vineyard at Sittella Winery was lush and green and the bright red of Justine’s lovely bridesmaids contrasted very nicely. A cloudy, dramatic sky with the occasional ray of sun shining through…ah, I was a happy photographer! I do feel a bit sad for Justine’s shoes which started out white and ended up a tad muddy but such are the pitfalls of being a gorgeous bride :) In Western Australia, if it isn’t mud, it’s going to be red dust, so you can’t win. My theory – you only get the day once so you get the shots and try not to think about the shoes….I hope you will agree the location portraits were well worth it :)
A big thanks to lovely Jen from Anna Rose who was my second shooter for the day. I’d also like to thank Jen’s brolly which sacrificed itself in the name of a good photograph.

I had to show you a picture of the cake. The whole reception was based around the Little Miss and Mr Men characters. Guests chose the character that most represented them and draw their likeness with all their best wishes for the bride and groom. A guest book of a different kind.
Jen and I left one for the happy couple – she was Little Miss Giggles and I was Little Miss Busy. Here we are:
