Gerard and Lisa…an intimate wedding

Another intimate wedding – this seems to be becoming my niche! Gerard and Lisa are both from Ireland and have adopted Australia :) With most of their family and friends overseas, they decided to spend their wedding day together, alone apart from yours truly. They married in a Catholic Church in Doubleview and it was eerily beautiful hearing nothing but their vows and the priest’s words with no one else except a friend that came along to witness the marriage. I had the honour of being the second witness on their marriage certificate.

We spent the next couple of hours finding a few shady and not-so-shady places in Perth for location portraits (my first shoot at the Blue Boathouse included). The sun was hot and as my photographer mates will know, between 12pm and 2pm means very harsh light in the middle of the summer here. I like the results very much!
