Wedding Stories, Lifestyle Portraiture and Beautiful Boudoir

Well we’re a good chunk into the New Year already wow! Lots of couples got engaged at Christmas due to the amount of enquiries coming in lately which is wonderful and thank you to all my new clients – welcome :)

Time now to go back to 2011 and start blogging some of these weddings I have here waiting to be shared….

Julie and Grant were married in October at a beautiful spot in East Perth just by the river. The groom and guests arrived by boat where Julie and her parents meeted them for the intimate ceremony. Grant’s son Lachie did a fabulous job of being ringbearer. A cruise down the Swan and we arrived at Sandalford Winery for the pre dinner drinks and reception. Friend Clayton Bolger played wonderful acoustic music throughout the night and I adored the ‘cheesecake’ wedding cake also made by a friend. It was a lovely, small wedding with close family and friends and as usual, the speeches brought a tear to my eye :)

2011…what a year! I’ve got to admit it has been a roller coaster personally, full of great highs and deep lows but these are the times that you grow to appreciate life in general. At the end of 2011 I am the happiest I have been in a long time and I have felt this has had a major impact on my photography and the way I view my profession.

I know 2012 will be an amazingly positive and exciting year but 2011 was really the year of growth for me. I’d like to think I have a new appreciation of the great industry I am in. I have the sweetest, loveliest clients; a fantastic network of colleagues; the freedom to enjoy my desired lifestyle including being able to be around for my boys, and every weekend I am privileged to be a part of one of the most positive days in my clients’ lives. To be reminded of the impact of love and the importance of family and friends every week is heartwarming to say the least.

A big congratulations to all my clients on their nuptials in 2011, especially to my sister who was married to her love in October :) Thank you to all my past, present and future clients in 2012 and I wish you all a Happy New Year! xo
